Intern Insight: Georgina Davies

INTERN INSIGHT: Here is another great insight into the value of working for an SME (small or medium sized enterprise). Recent History of Art graduate Georgina has just completed her internship with CCRS Brokers:

“Working for an SME has been extremely valuable and I have learned a lot. I have quickly got to know other members of staff due to the small size of the organisation and this would definitely make me want to work for another SME in the future. It has also been a very positive experience because I have felt that my work has been greatly appreciated and I have been given a lot of responsibility – once again, this is due to working for a small organisation. tely make me want to work for another SME in the future. It has also been a very positive experience because I have felt that my work has been greatly appreciated and I have been given a lot of responsibility – once again, this is due to working for a small organisation.

I have been involved in a range of projects whilst working at CCRS including organising the colour personality profiling for the staff, and updating the renewed and new business spreadsheet for the Managing Director. My other tasks have included attending several workshops at Business Gateway, helping to redesign the company’s social media and marketing strategy, and rewriting the website and the HR handbook (with the help of a colleague).

I have been extremely lucky to work for CCRS for the last two months. They have been nothing but supportive of my ambitions and they have provided me with work based on my preferences. Off the back of my internship, CCRS have offered me a role within the business with compressed hours so that I have time to pursue my other interests. I am delighted to have found a job so quickly after graduating.”
