In January, we welcomed three students from the University of Strathclyde for a three-week placement on the MSc Business Analysis and Consultancy Apprentices Scheme.
This three-week programme gives students the opportunity to work within an external organisation to put into practice the skills they have developed in the first semester of their MSc.
We welcomed Robin, Shu and Stephanie who helped us progress with an internal SharePoint project within our Accounts department.
The apprentices were instrumental in transforming the accounting function of the business by streamlining the processes and procedures and assisting with the transition onto a new accountancy platform.
Speaking of their experience, the students said:
“Through this placement with CCRS, I have realised my ability to adapt to situations and software I have not been exposed to previously.
We have been given more responsibility than we expected, and our opinions and ideas have really mattered and been taken into consideration. We have been given autonomy and the opportunity to use our own judgement and creativity.
CCRS is a very responsive company, if we have any questions or needed something done, we have had answers or approval immediately.
Everyone we have met has been friendly and helpful.”
After successfully completing their project with us, Stephanie, Robin and Shu can take the new skills they have learned at CCRS and apply it to their future studies and career paths.
We wish them good luck in the rest of their course and future.
